Dye DM12 Consistency
I'm having a really hard time getting my DM12 to chrono consistently. I bought the gun used, looked really well taken care off. Has a BW bolt installed, I dont have the original.
Chronos 27x-29x with .67x empire evil paint in a deadlywinds .679 freak bore barrel. Its a huge spread. I've tried with other paint and its no change.
Thigns I've tried:
- NEW BATTERIES (Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, Duracell Lithuim)
- HPR set to 4.5 turns out
- LPR set to 3.5 turns out.
- tried with 18 and 21 dwell, no change.
I've tried other freak inserts, no change. I've changed all the orings on the BW Bolt, i've taken apart the HPR and LPR, replaced the seats and orings, no change.
I can take the same paint/same barrel put them on my Bob Long Vice and shoot 290 +/-3 over an entire hopper
I've tried Dye Slick Lube, straight Dow33, PE Lube, etc. No lube makes any difference.
There has to be something stupid I am missing, please help me out! Thanks! :-)

Could be just the "break in period" since you've changed the orings. You seem to be adjusting everything to specs but it could be low LPR pressure....

I guess the orings need to wear in.
I picked up a new case of Valken Redemption and noticed that it was shooting really tight groupings @75ft so grabbed my chrono and same thing, 20fps variation. So then I was thinking maybe its the chrono? I made sure every shot that I placed the chrono in the same spot/position, now I get a 4fps variation! Crisis averted I guess? Its strange because I usually just place it where ever on my other markers
