DM4 stuck on bootup?

My DM4's board only stays solid blue when I turn it on. Dip switch positions don't seem to matter, using the ones in the manual. The noid/eye plugs are in all the way. The eyes are clean, and turn off as they should (red LED). It used to blink blue with eyes on.. I think.. The guy at the local shop said the eyes might be scratched. Any idea?

1)Have you shot paint out of it while in "blue" mode
2) If yes, then try a new battery, it is odd but DMs are picky and a new battery may be the trick
3) Mine boots to blue then green to show the eyes are ready, UL Frame though
4) Is it a UL Frame? If not the dm4 may have a different board in it which is not OEM. If that is the case if you can enter into the settings and see teh color sequence the board may be better identified.

Your trigger pull might be too short so always holding the trigger microswitch down.

#1 What board/chip is in it?

The DM4/5/C had a TON of aftermarket chips made for it and all of them seemed to use a different pattern of colored lights. So you're first step is to figure out what chip is in your gun.

Then get an owners manual and assess what the light signifies.

Could be %100 normal
Could be the eyes are faulting
Could be that's a low battery signal
Too many possibilities.

The first battery, the board blinks red 3 times rapidly, then solid blue. Red when eyes turned off. Second battery goes straight to blue but doesn't click the noid.

It "shoots" with the first battery... which is, drop a ball in, light stays blue. Bolt goes forward halfway and stops. Second pull, shoots the ball. It does this every time you drop a ball in, though it seems to fully cycle without the ball. This is without the bolt end o-ring, because I can't tell a 14 from 15 and at least it's not leaking now. Dip switches are set to anti-bolt-stick... Without a ball, it can cycle as fast as you can pull.

It's not the trigger since it clicks and the light flashes accordingly. Turning it on with the trigger back makes it shoot.

...this thing was working fine when I got it. Just HAD to clean and lube it eh?

The half cycling could still be a low battery problem. Try a brand new name brand battery (energizer or duracell). Also reset your settings to stock dwell 18, lpr 5 turns out, and hpr 3 turns out.
