200MPH Paintballs...

I'm trying to get my g/f into paintballing but she is a little scared of getting hit. I was checking around and came acrosss this. http://cgi.ebay.com/Redz-Premium-Fro...QQcmdZViewItem She will really be protected is this can stop 200MPH paintballs!

Well, at 290 fps or so I believe that 200mph is the right speed, or somewhere close to that.

Yeah, paintballs are really doing 200MPH. 300FPS is about 204MPH.

Darkninja is correct.

A paintball traveling at 290fps is moving at 197mph.

While I have the calculator out; A .223 rifle round, traveling at about 3000fps is moving at 2045mph!

Yup the math is right but remember it's not moving 200 mph for long. Get her the padding if you play smaller tighter games ( you know what I mean). She's more likely to stick with it if it doesn't hurt much.

I think that 300fps is about how fast a compound bow will launch an arrow.

I wouldn't want to get hit by one of those...but paintballs aren't so bad
