Beware of Ebay scammer

If this is posted in the wrong spot, I apologize and give full blessing to move it.

I posted a starter paintball package in ebay, item number 250880171421. It's nothing nice, but will work for someone just starting out. That's why I listed it for only $35 plus shipping. It was bought by someone named Artem Korobkin whose seller profile is here: eBay My World - artemk3301
Before selling this package I put air into the gun, shot a hopper through it with no breaks, reaching up to 15 bps according to my chrono. He still claimed buyer protection, stating that it didn't work. I replied a list of detailed instructions to include; power up the marker, replace the battery, air up the tank, open the ASA, etc... Still he decided to claim that the item was "not as described" and forced ebay to refund him. Three weeks later he decided to ship the original box and wrapping back to me, but this is what was inside...

Here's a copy of the shipping label with this guy's address...

dang man... Call ebay customer support... I had something similar happen to me.. I sold a Tippmann A5 HE grip to someone who them claimed it was not as described.. filed a claim, I lost and I got a regular A5 grip back.. call ebay and tell them, if not show them what happened. You may have to sit on hold forever(i waited 3hours..no joke, on my cell phone) I calmly explain to them what happened. I got my money back and didnt have to mail him his regular grip back. Apparently this type of this has been happening more and more lately the T.S guy said.

and if that really doesnt work. Contact the authorities. I mean really he robbed you at this point.

That's messed up. I hope Ebay does something for you, if not maybe contact the authorities I'm sure this falls under mail fraud somehow...

Good luck bro,
Clyde

Thanks for the kind words. I hope nobody ever has to deal with this scammer Artem Korobkin. I have notified Ebay and sent them pics. Will update when more info is presented.

I feel for you
and at the same time got a chuckle from the PostIt and the fact that he took the time to ship you a box of rocks

He just committed mail fraud. You can go to the local authorities and the FBI (becomes federal once shipping crosses state lines). Inform him that you'll be doing both. Maybe then he'll actually do the right thing, although doubtful.

people who usually buy get the box with the rocks, first time i hear about the seller getting it. i really hate ebay sometimes, they protect the buyer and screw the seller or vice versa. i mainly stick trying to sell on the forums so i do not have to deal with ebay, they get enough money from me when i use paypal.

just wait for the guy to list something to sell and do it back to him and look what i found

do they still have the policy where a seller can not leave negative feedback?

he needed to ship back something to prove that he made a return, that's what people do when they sell. ship you a box with a brick so the buyer can not file a dispute. paypal only there to make sure you get a package, does not matter what is in the package.
