i found my familys old reo truck on ebay after my mom mentioned it being on there i just thught i would post it here

Titan, I believe they had manual spark advance on the dizzy like a FORD A and T.

indeed, the spark knob or lever in those old beasties was an advance mechanism. Back in the day, you pushed the two levers together in the old model Ts and that was your maximum speed...usually about 50 mph with a tail wind. (anybody notice a lack of accelerator pedal?)

those old cars are very gas efficient to surprisingly. because they go so slow and are so light though but i guess around town it would almost make a good commuter I think i remember reading that the model t gets over 35 to the gallon

IIRC the Model T gets about 28mpg. Not bad considering the present-day average is about 26mpg...
