Ebay won't let you list a PS3 without showing a receipt for it, or atleast that's how it was to begin with... This will probably get pulled... But it may be a way to make a buck...

What good would it do anyone else? It's got the unit serial number on it and it was payed for using a credit card. If someone were to buy this in order to return a stolen unit the money would be returned on the credit card.

I think it's for the fool trying to sell a unit without their own reciept.. i.e. it's hot or they got it from someone else...
If they're going to try to return, their exposing themselves to major problemo !!!

I remember an ebay auction that people posted about on IPR years ago for a "Spyder TL Plus box". The 'plus' didn't mean gun + box, but the TL+ model's box. The ad's copy had info about what the Spyder TL+ was capable of (the text off the box). Someone got pissed that they got scammed although I don't think they sent the money once they realized what they won.

I wonder what I can get on eBay for my old receipts. I have a fresh one from Stop and Shop from tonight...

The item sold for US$86, the buyer joined eBay Jan 11 '07

More than likely the buyer and seller are the same person. The seller was/is upping his pos feedback by "selling" some trivial item then making a phony "buyer" to buy it. Positive feedback is left and he gains one more "satisfied customer. "

Unethical, but not much eBay can do about it.
