ego 7 was a major step up from the 05/06. It introduced a better oled board with two trigger activation styles, the deftek offset feed, and a better qev system

ego8 wasnt all that much different, introduced another trigger return style, new bolt, and spring system in the reg instead of a shim stack, shaft 2 barrel

09 has a direct mounted noid (no more qevs), more features in the stock board, shaft 3 barrel. This year had the problem of having the ram cycle too fast because the noid was mounted directly. It had a problem of shredding rammer orings because the ram got too much forward and backward motion, ergo kicked more. Thus, PE put out the plank kit to compensate (thus a planked ego9)

thats pretty much it. The 09 has the most up-to-date features, but well rounded the 08 is probably the most bang for your buck

I personally like the frame on the '09 better with the cut away for your thumb when you hold the front reg.

I have to say I love my 8. The only thing about the 9 I like is the gripframe. But in my eyes the Ego8 is the best Ego PE Built.

I'm the original owner of a bone stock 7. It has never given me problems. The only thing I don't like about them is the anno; they look great but I think it's easy to scratch. I wish it was type III like the AKAs.

I keep the LPR 2 turns in from flush and tune velocity from the hpr.

did you get your ego yet or just asking for when you get it?

The LPR is a "set it and forget it" type thing. You shouldn't be playing with it all the time. The LPR simply controls the pressure used to move the ram forward and back to open the valve, the pressure behind which is controlled by the HPR, or inline reg. The LPR pressure can be adjusted to a certain degree to smooth out operation, but too much variance will result in inconsistent shot-to-shot velocities or incomplete cycling.
