Geo1

So, Ive heard mixed feelings on the Geo1. Is it really unreliable, or is it a solid shooter for the money?

if you get the gr2 kit with it already, its a solid performer. If it comes with the gst, its even better. For the money, an older edlipse marker is always good. Solid design as well as great performance

yea, thats not a bad deal for new. You can probably get a used one for cheaper, but for the gun new with gr2 and gst, thats not a bad price. Id go after it

The Geo plus is a solid marker, geo2 as well. Its a good platform and honestly one of the better markers I have shot. If you tweak the geo trigger right, its just beautiful.

If you need to buy new that's not a terrible price, but used can be had for far less. I picked up my Geo (gr2 & gst) for just over $500 shipped just 6 months ago on nation. There were a handful in the $5-600 price range at the time, not sure what it's like now but certainly isn't higher w/ more and more used Geo2's coming up for sale - helped drive the price of the used Geo & Geo+ down, now the 2.1's are doing it again.

For the record I love my Geo. It has shot flawlessly thru some pretty drastic weather: snow & teens, rain & 50's, humidity & 80's... not a single blip. The only knock I can give it is that it's not at all air efficient compared to most highends, even after 20+ cases (me & the former owner).

FYI - Geo+ = Geo1 w/ gr2 & gst

I like geo's. It's a bit harsher of a shot compared to a traditional spool valve gun. I personally like that. I'm more of a poppet kinda guy, so this is a good median of the two.

Best thing is it has eclipse triggers, boards, regs, feed necks, barrels, asa's, and customer support. Makes it feel AMAZING on the field and in the hands.
