05 bolt for ego, which to get.

Just picked up an 05 nexus pink lady ego and the bolt is pretty chewed up, looks like someone shaved on the detent slots and beat the bolt around a bit.

So i'm looking at two choices, Tech T hush bolt (50 bucks) or a pooty modded cure 4 (70 bucks). Will one be better for the older ego than others? It's before they did the offset feedneck.

Cure 4 if you're not picky about sound signature. Some people are, though I have no idea why. The Cure bolt has the ramped top at the front to reduce clipping of the stack, which is a good thing for a pre-Deftek(offset feedneck) model. And the Pooty Mod will help efficiency and consistency with the addition of o-rings on either side of the transfer port. I'd mention the fact that is redices breech wear too but if it's an 05 and the bolt is chewed up, it's probably too late anyway. One suggestion though is to stock up on 05 detents from paintballshowcase, since they changed the Detents in 06 and the new detents don't work in the 05.

The Cure4 will have velocity fluctuations with an 05/06 EGO. I would suggest the Cure3.

There was no 05 nexus as far as I know. You sure you don't have an 06? Post some pics.

You can't go wrong with the pooty bolt IMO. I tend to stay away from techt.

I would vote Pooty bolt, I have a Pooty Cure 4 in my VCSL, and I really like it, you just have to be a little more careful not to get stuff stuck in the breach orings.

But I would also listen to bill, and the cure 3/ 3+ might be a better choice, I am sure you could pick up a used one for pretty cheap, i bet even the new ones, if there are any would be a pretty good deal.
