Screen backlight not working? Ego 9

Hey guys, just got my used Ego 9 in the mail. The backlight for the screen doesn't work for some reason. I checked settings to make sure the backlight time wasn't set to 0, it's set at 10 seconds. Is this a common issue with these boards? I can still read everything on the screen in daylight. My HPL tournaments start around 6am before the sun comes up. It's gonna be difficult seeing it in the dark. Already scoured through the settings to see if there is a place to turn it off/on, but couldn't find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't think that's a common issue, however, it shouldn't be too difficult to replace the board should you stumble upon one for cheap.

My advice is to just use it as is (since you don't NEED to see the screen when you turn it on if it's set right) and buy a new board when you get around to it.

You can swap the board from the Ego10 into your Ego9 as well.
I have yet to see any of those boards cheap, but the nice part of swapping a 10 board in, if your screen goes bad you can just swap the screen.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the other way around, that you can put an Ego 9 board in an Ego 10. The issue I see with the 10 board is the larger screen on the smaller Ego 9 console.

Both boards are interchangable.
The Ego 10 console also works on the Ego9 so it's a simple swap.
Replace console and board with Ego10 pieces and voila.
I can tell you for a fact this works as I have both and have swapped them
