06 Ego Noid issue

I have a 2006 Ego, and the noid is leaking between the halves. I took a bad spill and due to a bad frame screw the frame came loose and tweaked the noid, causing the c-clips to come loose and the noid separating.

I wanted to run a few questions by the forums here before giving up all hope. I know the piston should be inserted into the front half of the noid with the flat side facing out, but I am unsure which way the small brass fitting in the other half of the noid needs to be facing. Should the small brass disc with the o-ring around it be flat side out, or concave side out?

Also, is there any sort of seal that exists between the two halves of the noid?...I am not seeing one so I wanted to be sure.

Is there anything else I am missing that could be causing this type of leak?
