| Ego 7's and 8's are a little quieter but the early Ego's and Eteks have a rather sharp report.

Just shooting air through my 7 it's much quieter than the Etek and not much louder than my PM6 when I shot that with air only. With paint it's not bad at all.

| www.yankeepaintball.com | I don't have one yet but I've heard good things about the cure bolt. It's supposed to allow you to shoot brittle paint. Tug

| As in "Honey, lets buy our infant this Ego8 so he can enjoy it when he grows up or something... Maybe I ought to test it out, ya know, just to see if it works well and functions properly... *meep meep*" |

| The Zick kit is incredible. Makes an Etek shoot with less kick than a zicked Ego7. I would invest in that and then a Cure bolt. Other than a different barrel there's nothing you really need to do.

| I have been using an 05 ego for tournaments and general play since late 05 and have had no problem with brittle paint. I did notice that they are a little loader but mine quieted greatly when I went to a freak kit with all american front. |

| I've owned my ETek for a month now. I traded my upped A-5 for it. I miss the A-5 but I love my ETek. Some of the people that I play woodsball with think I am crazy and a traitor (A-5 owners) for making the deal; the other people that I play speedball with think I made the right choice. Me? I am happy with my decision. My needs and interests changed -- playing woodsball, I found myself using my pump more and my A-5 taking the back seat, so I made the logical choice and upgraded for speedball. I own a PMR SE that I had upgraded the stock board to a Tadao Musashi 7, I ended up making the same upgrade to my "new" ETek. I also replaced the wearing stock bolt with a Cure bolt.
