Kinda dead in here.

I'm not that surprised that the Eclipse forum is dead on MCB. However I'm expecting my Ego 06 today so I'll be posting pics as soon as I can. It has one major flaw which is a scraqtch down the right side other than that it has the M7 tadao board and a cp asa( ooooh big deal ). Pics after UPS shows up.

Cool, man. I look forward to seeing the pics of it. You'll love the Ego I think. They have a real qaulity feel to them.

I know there aren't many MCB'ers who favor Ego's so the traffic here is low but I also think that the guns are so reliable and for the most part problem free that there isn't much to talk about.

i just got myself an 05 ego, and it shoots ropes, only problem is that i dont like the bore on the stock barrels (.693 is too big). Would a cure bolt be a good upgrade for it, or should i just leave it be?

My understanding is the cure bolt is for brittle paint not for paint size problems. BTW I got it today and Holy Cow, I tried ramping with eyes off (no paint at home) and let her rip (20 bps according to the tadao manual) I almost peed a little. The cats didn't like it at all. Pics up soon.

Cure bolt is great if you're having trouble with brittle paint. If not, save your money.

I find the stock barrels to be way overbored for most of the paint around me. I have a SL Shaft kit on the way but it's lost in the frickin' mail

You'd probably be fine with a Dye Ultralight in .688 or a Redz Pepperstickz kit(both about the same cost) or any other midbore barrel in addition to the big bore stocker.

You will want to maintain at least some overbore with the Ego so a small bore probably isn't necessary unless you have really tiny paint locally(like .680).

My local field owner got himself an Etek recently. Are all the Egos that loud? That was seriously distinctive sound.
