MQ'd Bonebrake Excalibur for sale

Okay, I thought I wouldn't sell this, but I'm only going to play a handful of times this year, so here it goes.

This is the famous MQ'd excal. This is, to the best of my knowledge, the ONLY excalibur with a working MQ valve. That's because it was installed by Kerry Johnson, the inventor of the MQ valve. Not only that, but he modified the tadao board to work with it, AND made a custom titanium ram and bolt pin. The bolt has also been milled down significantly.

The first time I used it, it made an odd honking sound, though it shot fine. Turns out that I had an oring misadjusted on it. When I corrected it later, it shot beautifully. The MQ requires a different knowledge set than a standard excal, for sure.

What are the advantages of an MQ valve? Lower recoil (no hammer moving back and forth), and a faster cycling rate. This excal will cycle faster than any other excal I've seen, and I've seen a lot of 'em. Unfortunately, efficiency does take a hit. My unscientific observations indicate that this excal is about 75% as efficient as a normal 04 excal, which means that it's getting about 1500 shots off a 68/45. Not bad, and possible tuning of the board settings may change that, but I don't have the time right now to tweak it. It runs, air is cheap, and 1500 is still pretty darn good.

The gun has some minor wear on the edges of the tray, back of the bolt housing, and where the barrel screws in. The volumizer also has some scratches around the removal holes.

Gun comes with:

Bonebrake excal - only 25 made
MQ valve - only one working in an excal, one of a kind
Titanium ram and bolt pins - only ones in existance, as far as I know
FBM fierce frame - very comfy, built-in dovetail rail.
JMJ razor blade trigger - DOES NOT COME WITH ACID CUSTOMS PICTURED
Javelin barrel
Tadao board-modified for MQ use, performs same as any other tadao
AKA gun bag
Milled 2 liter with locking extension
FBM cam-lock no-rise feedneck
Stainless steel screws

Asking price is $1200 OBO, NO TRADES PLEASE. That price includes shipping with insurance. Please post here, even if you want to PM me.

More pics upon request.

I have no experience with anything but stock Excal's. How does the weight/feel of this Bonebreak compare with:

1) aftermarket/milled Excals, and
2) stock Excals?

Also, in one of the pics there appears like there might be a chunk of space between the eye covers and the body, is this correct?

Thanks;

Fritz

Weighs less than a stock excal, but a little more than a, say ,featherlite excal. The bonebrake milling isn't as extreme, but it looks awesome and aggressive.

I believe that there is a space under the eye cover where the swoosh milling is, but I will verify it tomorrow. I'm on a business trip today.

Keep in mind that the lack of a hammer, and the titanium parts, do help with the weight reduction also.

Man, I'm going to miss the titanium parts. That's just plain cool
