| Kingman Spyder EM-1 FS GENERAL INFORMATION: - Like all things in life, posted prices are negotiable. I have tried to price items appropriately based on rarity, condition, usefulness, etc. Offers and "market value corrections" are welcome however please contact me via PM to avoid thread devolution. - I am primarily interested in cash and generally prefer to buy new when possible, however I am willing to entertain trades. They must be compelling and I am very particular; black is my color of preference, and I do not like shiny, multicolor markers. Most electros need not apply although if they are particularly unique I may consider them. - I accept PayPal or MO, although I much prefer PayPal for convenience and security. PayPal fees are included in the prices I have listed if applicable. - I will ship via USPS, insured/signature required. Shipping fees are included in the prices I have listed for sales to the lower 48 US states. If you are an international, AK or HI buyer, I am still willing to sell to you however please contact me to negotiate shipping on a case-by-case basis; chances are I will charge you the difference between flat rate and my actual shipping fees. - I have a feedneck and bottomline on-off ASA which will fit on thi markers available in this thread: Cocker Freak Back/Tip, Spyder Feedneck & M4 Stock, Pewter Skull Drop panels, On-Off Accessories purchased with this marker will be discounted. PM for details if you're buying a marker. THE GOODS: Item 1: Spyder EM-1 (Serial #7171961) $125 Condition: Cosmetic/Aesthetic - "Very Good" There is some wear and minor scratching to the anodizing. The secondary LPR has scratching and gouging around the adjustment slot. Functional - "Very Good" Marker airs up and cycles, board is working, solenoid is good. Very slight leak which does not affect recharge and can barely be heard. Points of interest about this item: - Not a STBB, the EM-1 is a FASOR electropneumatic. Sister gun to the Raven Primal and similar to the ICD Bushmaster series. - Contrary to previous reporting, the marker no longer has a hiss at the solenoid, and the LPR has been "fixed" (although the stock plug is cosmetically damaged now, I'm ordering a silver Bushy plug to replace it; both will be included). The solenoid is function and the marker fires on full-auto without any recharge issues. - Includes a couple of different vertical adapters (one ASA, one gas-through only), and a brass thread adapter. The threading on both VAs is tight but they could probably be screwed into the body forcefully (right diameter, wrong thread pitch?). Alternately, a brass adapter is included which would require the body be drilled and re-tapped, but the VAs will both fit into it. Reportedly the stock body threading will accept Bushmaster VAs without modification but I did not have one available to try. - Grip frame is threaded for EM-1 regulators (2 screws, lateral) or standard bottomline attachment for rails, ASAs, etc. There is no "diagonal" screw pattern of the type found on older Spyders. - Contains the EM-1 "Upgrade" board installed on later model EM-1s - PPS is able to modify these markers to accept a Rock/Micro Rock in lieu of the secondary LPR, as well as add a standard ASA threaded vertical adapter. I had this performed on my personal EM-1, and while the service is not inexpensive (~$160 for both, including Rock), it turns out very nicely and allows the pneumatics to be adjusted much more easily. | Updated: I FIXED IT! The good news is, it cycles fine and no more 'noid hissing (there's a barely perceptible leak that does not seem to affect recharge), so I confirmed that the LPR setting was the problem and the 'noid is cool. The bad news is I had to do some hardcore dremel'ing to the LPR screw and even then was barely able to remove it. Kingman seriously locks those mothers down, I think they used Titanium Loctite. Regardless, the damage to the plug is cosmetic, and I'm ordering a Bushy plug which supposedly will fit, AND look better. Now that the threads are clean the LPR adjusts like butter so it can be tinkered with by the user without needing to resort to power tools. No price change to reflect that it's working though, tinkering was done out of my desire not to let a gun get the better of me Update: Tinkered with the LPR some more, and no more leak. Fires fine in all settings w/o any hiss.
