Doesn't the Axe come with the new Empire "Relay" reg? Those are user-serviceable. The original Mini (and TM-7, and TM-15) regs weren't easily user-serviceable.

Quiet?

Where'd you get quiet? One of the loudest I've heard. Got mine in yesterday and sounds like a machine gun. Not impressed at all. Good trigger tho. Think ill stick with dye

Axe shouldn't be loud at all. Something is wrong if it is. People comment on how quiet mine is all the time.

As for dye I have a dm11 so I know what quiet sounds like

There is nothing loud about my Empire Axe. The thing is quiet to the point where I had to turn up the sensitivity on my Prophecy just to get it to register.

Agreed, I played with mine for the first time last weekend, and with my Furious tip it was so quiet nobody could figure out where I was. I spent 30 minutes hidden behind a tiny tree that looked like the sad little Christmas tree in the Charlie Brown special, and must have nailed 10 guys before they figured out I was there.

If your axe is super loud, something is up. Are you sure your barrel was on? (ha ha) Was the reg adjusted to 190?

Axe

Mine is so quiet stock, it is unbelievable. I just installed the Lurker bolt which is supposed to make it even more so. Could just be the perfect sniper/woodsball gun if you ask me. Whisper silence...

AXE with Lurker Bolt

WOW is all I can say!! My Axe with the Lurker bolt went through a case of paint like hot butter. Super quiet, super smooth, OOOO ZERO KICK, and hurls balls a LONG ways. I would not hesitate to get this. There is even a new vid on youtube that walks you through the install (which is nothing by the way).

Boss Bolt

Don't know about the Boss bolt. Read all the reviews on both here and PBN about the different bolts for the Axe (Lurker, Boss, TechT, etc.) and the thing that sold me on the Lurker is that it is the only bolt where it completely changes how the bolt works/moves (because of the spacer) and the fact that you don't have to mess with different springs, etc. You cannot believe how quiet this thing is. I shot so many people last weekend in the woods and most said.."I never even heard you when you were right near me." Enough said for me...
