Question Paint Matches

Hi All,

I have a new version BT-Omega with an Apex2 barrel, e-grip, and rip clip. What is the best paint match for this type of setup? I have searched everywhere for any type of list that discusses this to no avail. Any help with a suggestion of brand and type would be appreciated.

Thanks

Panik

one does not buy paint to match barrels, you buy a barrel kit to match your paint.

Why? because paint varies batch to batch.

That actually makes a lot of sense. But is there a brand that is more consistent than others and contains less variability, that on average works well with the Apex2?

your answer would be to get the best paint you can possibly afford

I'm looking for a more scientific approach to this. Higher costs don't always mean better quality

not really. generally though, higher-end paint is better, but it varies. one batch may be decent, the next batch crap. i guess it depends on how long it's been in storage, among other things. quality control seems lacking in my opinion.

I found 2 great articles here. The first one is an actual scientific study done by the U.S. Army:

The second is a small study on accuracy variation with barrels and paint:
