Mini doesnt shoot until 4th trigger pull, then fine

My mini with 1st gen? internals gets a bit of a slow start. After I turn it on, it takes 4 trigger pulls for any response. First three- nothing happens. Doesn't matter if it is just battery, with air, with balls, eyes on or off... always three dead pulls then everything is groovy until it is turned back off.

I tried several batteries, a couple were new. It gets cleaned after every day of use.

Is this a problem people have experienced before? Any thoughts on root problem? poppet, board, wiring?

Sorry if this has been brought up before, didn't really know what to type in the search box.

Can you hear the solenoid clicking or any puffs of air on the first 3 shots when the gun is doing nothing?

I used to have a mini with the same issue. Most likely you just need to clean and lube the solenoid. Mine started off only needing a few pulls and got progressively worse before cleaning the noid

Alrighty, I'll check that out. Thanks.

No puffs of air. No clicks. Nada. And the clicks are really loud in that first generations' hardware. They got quieter by the third gen I believe, but not this little guy.

I'm going to agree with ajohnson677 then, the issue is the solenoid. You can take apart and clean it out with a Q-tip and re-lube it or get a new one. Try giving KEE a call, they have a lifetime warranty that may or may not extend to first gen Mini's but its worth a shot. Even if you need a replacement, they're cheap solenoids. Right around $30 if I recall.

I played this weekend, dealt with the issue (wouldn't go so far as to call it a problem yet). Gun caught a LOT of splatter so I stripped and cleaned it. Really got into all the nooks and crannies. Cleaned the noid, etc. No change after. I think talking to kee is the next step.

This could be the same shenanigans as the 1st gen TM7 would get.
Try getting a new noid out of it

Yeah, I'm having this problem with my current TM7. Let me know if you get anything figured out with your mini and I'll do the same if I figure out anything with my TM7 since they're nearly the same internally.

Just find out who the distributor/dealer is now and send them an email. Not sure if they warranty the old stuff but it's worth a shot.
