Mahlwinkel 2008

Near the German town of Mahlwinkel lies an abandoned cold war soviet air force base that once housed over 10.000 soldiers and their families. In 2008 this will once again be the playground for one of Europe's largest big games, with over 800 players at the last event.

The dates for 2008:

Saturday, 10th of May 2008, to Monday, 12th of May 2008.

Friday, 12th of September 2008, to Sunday, 14th of September 2008.

European Big Game

There are already over 100 Dutch pre-applications, and the official ones haven't even begun, so there will be a big invasion of dutchies! This year promises to be even bigger than last year's!

I was wondering if any other people from MCB are going to this event? I know there are a bunch of people here from Europe, so if you go as well, it might be fun to meet up somewhere!

If you have never been there before, it's certainly worth it!! No other field i know offers urban combat to a scale like this in europe! You are allowed to enter all the buildings up to the second floor, unless noted offline. The school (building 1) is always a blast to play and both sides are constantly trying to get a hold of it. If you plan to go, try to join up with our team. We try to get the most dutch players in one team, and go out there in force. Last september it was so bad that players from the other team joined ours because they got hammered so bad the day before.

I would not mind joining a MCB squad tho.

You can find me and Paperclip near the Team FUBAR camp site. It's usually located in the middle of the camping grounds, near the northern wall. Just look for the dutch flagpost, or ask the organisation where team fubar camps. (they will surely know)

Can't wait to go! Judging from the pre-application, about 200 dutchies will be there in May. It's going to be massive!

Any of you Polish guys going?

We still didn't decide.

Probably we will make our decision 1 or 2 weeks before.

Next week we will be hammering german butt!! 150 dutch players are ready to duke it out with the germans! Hopefully we will get the mayority in one team and welt some! With as much players this time we will surely roll them up good. Last games there was hardly any opposition from the enemy, but we did loose mission wise.... Hopefully we can do better this year!

I will hopefully be up for the september one. I would probably bring a couple guys up with me but I don't know of any other pumpers around as Im new to the area.

You Europeans have almost all the fun... you get the best BMW's, you have practically no personal injury lawyers' bar and, it seems like all the paintball events are held in these wild locales.

Have a great time and please be sure to take and post lots of pictures, especially those with women as subjects.

I don't think it would be wise to post pics of the striptease/lesbian act they performed during the last event.

It was again, a blast! I'm really looking forward to september for the second biggame!
