Its like the old story: What are Parisians like? What are people like where you are from? Their great. Well Parisians are great as well. I have travelled to Paris several times and always have a great time (and I speak "0" french ). I travel there for martial arts ......so .....I have something in common. I had a 10% rudeness factor which I generally ignore because I have thick eco-skeleton (one was a policeman). Otherwise treat it like any large city and be aware. Very historic and never boring. Hey ..........what a great reason to visit Paris this summer.............paintball. They are probably weird because their sister's pants don't fit properly and it makes them anxious.

Heh heh, This thread is funny! I've been to Paris a couple of times and loved it. The people are generally nice if a bit aloof, it's a BIG, very busy city so don't expect any more friendliness than you'd get in New York or L.A. You can expect the service in most restaurants & cafés to be shockingly rude but they do it to everyone (I saw a waiter be a complete a$$ to an elderly priest once) so consider it a dose of local culture & laugh it off. It's a beautiful city, and the food there is amazing. Make sure you take in the view from Montmartre and if you get a chance the catacombs are worth visiting.

Pigalle place: Walk in the park in the middle of the main road passing pigalle. The strip is quite agressive.

And you can always ask Ben & Jerry to make such good ice creams... they can't (maybe they're wearing their sister's pants ?! )
