tykidd968 Feedback

Hi,

I wanted to buy a Blazer from tykidd968.
http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/m...er-s-sale.html

I am certain when I first looked at his post the price stated was $210 as I thought it was weird he wouldn't take the $200 offer from Lrrpie-CT

So I sent him payment via Paypal for $210. Next time I checked the post it was listed at $250, and here is the entire communication I had with him:

Scott, I realize how you do it, but we had a deal. You sent payment and i do not accept refunds.I am sorry that we had a misunderstanding when it came to price.how about you send me $5 more, and i can ship out the gun tomorrow.
------------------------------------------------------

*Note*
At this point I realize this is going nowhere, so I submit a Paypal dispute. If he had a problem with the initial payment, he should have refused it, and then maybe sent sent me an invoice?

These are the dispute comments:

10/7/2008 19:02 PDT - PayPal: Seller escalated this dispute to a Claim.

10/7/2008 19:02 PDT - tykidd968: Everything that i have said so far is accurate, I just don't understand why it had to get to this in the first place over him sending me only $5 more is what i needed.

10/7/2008 12:33 PDT - tykidd968: To correct the number above it was $225 not $125

10/6/2008 21:13 PDT - tykidd968: And now lieing about it to cover up what really happened, the $5 amount for shipping was me countering to an easier price to pay after we agreed on $125.

10/6/2008 20:59 PDT - tykidd968: I said i am willing to ship tomorrow too, but instead this is what the buyer does...

10/6/2008 20:57 PDT - tykidd968: I stated a price and he sent me $15 less then what we agreed on, i was willing to ship if he just sent me $5 more to cover for shipping. He said he wants all of his money back after i transferred it and now opened a claim.I never said i wouldn't ship, i was going to ship today to only find out when i checked my paypal that he did not send me the payment of $5 to cover for shipping.

10/6/2008 18:11 PDT - BurScott: The terms of this transaction were changed most likely due to miscommunication. Seller is unwilling to ship item or send refund.

All that was needed for you to do was send me $5 through paypal so i could ship the gun out, why would you open a claim.I never said that i wouldn't ship the gun, i just wanted the money we agreed on and sense you wouldn't do that, and you didn't even read the rules why is it my fault?Pretty sad that you are not willing to send me $5 so i can ship, and instead rather open a paypal claim...i don't understand your way of thinking there.

Not good transaction, sent me less then what we agreed on and then complained about it and filed a claim on paypal.will never deal with again.TERRIBLE DEALER!

-------------

In conclusion. We never agreed to a set price. Like I stated before I feel Tyler should have refused the payment if he was not satisfied.

Thank you,
Scott

how can i refuse a payment if you did not tell me how much you were going to send?If you said you were sending $210 i would have said no, but after i stated a price in the message you still said that you were going to buy it.This was never my fault and you are the one who obviously wasn't paying attention.

i posted in the thread for $210 then i decided that was too cheap so i changed it, then he sent me a pm and i said so are you buying it or not i can do $225.then he said yes i am sending the payment.so right there he agreed to $225.And thank you scrap iron for that. Can't really do that but i will sell it for $215 shipped i decided though.

The parties have had their say and there has even been some interpretive commentary from members, etc.

Closing this thread as all that has been accomplished.

Thanks.

Re-opening this after cleaning it up. Feedback threads are for the seller and the buyer, no one else please. Common courtesy calls for a post of said transaction (good or bad) and a response from the other person. One more post from each party is acceptable, unless there is no communication from the offending party in a bad/unsettled transaction.

All posts that were deleted, were comments not needed or part of a feedback thread. No discussions are allowed other than the involved parties.

For the record, Paypal fees are not to be asked for in sales threads at MCB. Please add them into your prices. This issue is closed, burscott got his money returned, and tykidd968 is welcome to relist (within the rules) his markers with a new thread if he chooses to do so.
