I've heard the 14 inch HH performed better than the 20 inch HH. At least on the SR-1.

Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge of how well that coupling that HH makes works; or rather how well the flutes in the barrel would match up using one?

Maybe not the most ideal way to achieve a +16" barrel; bit HH advertises the use of the coupling for such a thing.

I asked them about the "Link" and they told me that if you order 2 barrels and the link they will make sure that they are "clocked" properly to create a smooth transition. That being said, I bought one and put two barrels I had sitting around and they lined up perfectly.

I can confirm it too that when the HH link is used, the lands and grooves matches up from the first barrel to the second barrel, at least from the two HH barrels I bought. So when you link it together, it looks like a one piece.

So it would appear that this may be a viable means of studying barrel length/distance/accuracy? Have either of you given this a shot?

If, in fact, a longer barrel contributes to a tighter grouping over a longer distance, this could work well as a dual purpose marker in scenarios where long distance shots give to a mobile setup as the enemy advances. Trade in that side arm and rig for a squeegee pouch to keep the extra barrel in and drive on.

That's a question I've been wanting to answer all year.

I have not had the time to do a proper study on this in the right conditions yet.

Unless, there is a velocity difference between the short and long barrels.

If you're referring to the actual testing:

I can't find the 14" HH .688 rifled barrel... HH doesn't carry that length for a Tiberius? or is it 14" with the threaded tip? I see: Hammerhead Tiberius T8.1/T9.1 First Strike 11.5" Barrel + tip.... for sale...
