Actually I won't be up in MD this weekend. My usual schedule has been changed up for the next few weeks.

Booo.

In other news. So do we even know what the optimum RPMs of fsr is? Also id like to see them do that hammer head in brass. I think with a smoother material youd see even less fouling

My college has a physics professor that is supposedly extremely smart and has so many degree's it looks like the alphabet behind his name. I'll see if he can give any insight to why the hh works so well.

Could info from pellet guns and their rifling not be useful to figure out the why's? Lord knows they've been at this for a lot longer than paintball.

Well we knew rifling worked for these and why. Wr didnt know which barrels werr best. But what i cant figure oit is why the id of the barrel would even touch the round in this case

Nope. Just that getting them to their optimal speed (stabilization RPM) sooner is better than later.

The person to answer the optimal tightness for pre-spinning would be someone very familar with the material characteristics of FS shells, Annodized Aluminum, and the sciences relevant to mechanical motion (friction, torque, etc).

The problem with pellets is that their relatively soft lead and they relatively easily can conform to a rifling pattern, unlike a First Strike round.

That's a pretty big improvement. Check out the difference between the two 9" barrels, huge difference.

Also, can you break down the model/tip combo that gets you the 14" HH barrel? After a few times through, it looks like it was a BattleStikxx with a .688 fin. Any confirmation on this?

Wouldn't a longer rifled barrel be better?

Not necessarily.

They're all T9.1 barrels. The 14" HH is their T9.1 barrel (11.5" w/o muzzle) and the Bang Stikxx muzzle (O.A.L. ~14"). The Tiberius barrel does not use any fins.
