Slight critique, but weight training will go a lot further towards weight loss which seems to be the common goal. Both burn calories though, and neither hurts any.
Good luck to you fellas, it's definitely worth the time invested to be in shape.

I'll play. I'm away right now but will post up my stats monday. I have used daily burn in the past for calorie counting - particularly easy for iphone users. I've been itching to get back into shape, some friendly motivation might be just what I need.

I personally agree, but some folks don't have access to a gym or weights at home. Even though just two 25 lb dumbbells will take you a long way.

So I didn't want to require it. Do it if you can, it will be best, but if you can't afford it, anyone can take a walk outside.

When you say "requiring" are you going to be having some sort of tracking method on our eating/habits or is it just to imply that if we want to be serious about the contest we need to adhere to these guidelines?

This isn't just about losing weight, but also gaining mass... There will be an award for those lucky ladies and gents.

As for keeping track, this is all honesty based. But the numbers and results will speak for themselves.

I'm in. Always been hard to gain and between bronchitis and appendicitis this spring I dropped from 172 to 141.

Going for gains/stamina starting: Male, 5' 8" 18 years old 146.7 lbs

Planning on 4-5 days a week lifting, and a few weekends of atv mx before seasons over.
