So, some of us want to get in shape, stay in shape, or challenge our limits. There's more than just Gyms that can give ya that option.
So here's a collection of Mud Run events that are available, at least here in North America. And some other developed parts of the world that are cool. Anybody interested in attending one, post up. Lets see if we can possibly get a large enough group to go. These events also have "TEAM" signups. Can have an official MCB team listing.
And keep in mind, not every event is necessarily so insanely difficult that only those in peak physical condition should attend. Some of these are being taken on by really fat ****s that walk most the length. So even if you don't think you're in the BEST shape that doesn't mean you can't go any ways and enjoy. These are quite fun for people of all shapes and ages.

SPARTAN RACE Obstacle Racing
5K Obstacle Course Zombie Race - Run For Your Lives
If anybody knows of any other obstacle course/mud runs out there feel free to share.
Adding some more I found from a website I stumbled across. Mud Run Central Seems to have a listing of mud run events. Schwing!
So a couple other nationally touring type of events that seem to be worth the money to invest entry fee too...

And for those interested. I've been signed up for a few in 2012. If you're in the North East feel free to sign up and run with. We shall enjoy free beer afterwards.
Dates I'm attending, if you want to join in feel free...
Spartan Sprint: July 14th, Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Blue Mountain Ski Area.
Fair warning. This one I did, and it kicked my ***. I'm going again to get revengeance.
RFYL: Boston, May 5th
RFYL: Baltimore, October 27
Warrior Dash: New York, August 11

Hawkeye: Finest Kind
Very cool idea.
You have no shortage of events to abuse yourself at. I am looking at one of the Spartan races in June. There is an event near me in the suburbs of Toronto or maybe something up near Ottawa. It all depend on how much I want to abuse myself.

I love these.
I did the Warrior Dash race near St. Louis, MO last month

"If I ever opened a trampoline store, I don't think I'd call it Trampo-Land, because you might think it was a store for tramps, which is not the impression we are trying to convey with our store. On the other hand, we would not prohibit tramps from browsing, or testing the trampolines, unless a tramp's gyrations seemed to be getting out of control" [Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy]

My brother is trying to guilt a bunch of us into doing the Tugh Mudder near Poplar Bluff, MO next Sept. After watching these videos and seeing people in worse shape than I am now, I think I'm game.

Sign up, get out, and enjoy. Take pictures or bring a helmet camera even if you can. I made the mistake this year of not bringing mine. Will change that, definitely bringing my helmet camera to each of the races I attend.

I like this idea... I'm in for at least one! If you're doing the Boston one, I'll sign up.

Some of my old buddies recently did the Tri State Tough Mudder over Veterans Day weekend. You can check out their team site for video and reviews.
