Saunas?

So is there any function to them really other then sweating?
What would the pros/cons/differences be in the wet versus the dry saunas?

Are you supposed to use them before/after a workout specifically?

I tend to go really late so it's empty, and I just start doing my stretches in them. Maybe it's just placebo effect, but it seems like I can feel my joints warming up. As if they were actually cold and stiff. I like it.

i stretch in the steam room

sauna is good, but the one by my old gym smelled sooo bad, i just moved over to the steam room

feels great, keeps my legs loose

Also, don't be that guy with your legs spread 3 feet apart so everyone has to see your business. Nobody likes that guy.

I've only ever used dry saunas, but they do feel just amazing after a hard workout and they can help you lose water weight.

When I wear the kilt(cardio days) I try's to sit on the lower seats.

Had a guy tell me that you're supposed to do 10 minutes in the steam, 2 minutes out, 10 minutes in the dry, 2 minutes out and then 10 minutes back in the steam.

He did not say why it's supposed to be good for you because right when he finished telling me the above he got out of the sauna and jumped in the jacuzzi, the one with the broken heater. So I left him to his cold screams and went to go work out.
