Hey, no worries about posting in here man! The whole point is to post results to keep my self honest. I also like it if others post their times/results so I could have a bit competition!

How did the run go?

First time in about 2 years trying a 1mi. run for time, did it in 9:53. Both uphill and downhill portions. Still can't walk properly and I chucked twice. Back to the gym it seems.

I need to focus more on my cardio, I've mainly been in the weight room lately. Keep killing it man, not close to being ready for CrossFit

I've just recently joined a CrossFit gym and have been going 2x/week. Since I should be exercising at least 5 days, I'm trying to come up with something else to supplement my CrossFit workouts.

I'm still running a bit too since my cardio needs a lot of help.
I do enjoy weightlifting but not knowing what I will be doing for CrossFit ahead of time, it's hard to determine which muscle groups to work on any given day.

Ideally, I'd like to go to CrossFit 3x/week but it's hard to work into the schedule right now.

I hear ya! the WOD for the next day is released the night before but it is too late to determine what to work without doing something that might be in the WOD...

I need to get to a Crossfit gym and take a boot camp or something to learn all the more advanced movements and excersises.

Biked 40 min and 20.5Km today. Kinda hoping tomorrow's WOD is not leg heavy! lol.

So you're doing all of this at home on your own!?
Now there's some dedication!

I don't own any weights so I have to join a gym but even if I did, I'm not sure if I could do it all solo.
Working out in a group is great motivation. I still have to take a few breathers in the middle of the WODs and one of the driving factors that keeps me going is the fact that everyone else is still going. The coaches are great for motivating too... not in an authoritative manner but more encouraging.

Our WODs are posted in the morning so I really have no idea what I'm going to be doing until about 8am the same day. Since I've been getting some muscle soreness lately (rarely had that from normal lifting), I've been pretty much avoiding weightlifting and just sticking to cardio on my non-CrossFit days (and still manage 1-2 rest days)

I am doing the majority of the workouts at the gym we have here at work. So I have access to some equipment but no coaches. I have a partner who I have dragged into this as well and is cursing me for trying to kill him and it does help having someone to workout with.

I have been working out about 5 days a week prior to this anyway, but this is a new change from my usual Running and weights but not a new change in my daily planning.

Anywhoooo... Todays WOD was tough!

800m run
10 sets of the couplet
Pull ups 10 reps
Ring Dips 10 reps
800m run

For time

I ran for 1Km (first one in 4:48 second in 4:37) and sub'd out the ring dips for dips on a bench. My pull ups were brutal! The second Km after the pull ups and dips felt like I was running with gorrila arms...lol.

Completed it in 23m:30s

Scaled versions
Big Dawgs
as Rx’d

Pack
First:
Run 800 meters

Then:
7 rounds of the couplet:
Pull-up, 10 reps
Dip, 10 reps

Finally:
Run 800 meters

Puppies:
First:
Run 400-600 meters

Then:
5 rounds of the couplet:
Pull-up, 10 reps (Beginner or assisted okay)
Dips (assisted okay) or sub Push ups, 10 reps

Finally:
Run 400-600 meters

Absolutely gasses today!

5 sets for time.
Hand stand walk for 25 yards
50 squats.

I can't do the handstand walk so I did handstands for 30 seconds 3 times and the 2 sets of 45 lb push press.

I only fell on my face twice.

Ran 1.5km for a warm up and did 30 push ups to finish.

Washing my hair hurt.

I hope it's a rest day tomorrow.

WOD
FRIDAY 120413

Snatch 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps

Natalie Burgener 105, 125, 135, 155, 165, 170. 175lbs.
Post loads to comments.

I believe the idea is to start at about 80% of your max weight and work your way up to your max.

I have never done the Snatch lift...so in an effort to not hurt my self I am going to pass on this WOD. I am pretty sore from the last couple of work outs so I am contemplating a rest day (paintball tomorrow) or a short 5Km run...
