How was your workout?

Today was my first day back after taking a week off. Lost a bit of strength, but feel more motivated than before.

Did shoulders/legs today. Took two attempts on my heaviest set to get the DBs into place for the shoulder press. Completely failed to get them up on the first try. Took about 6 seconds to lockout on the second attempt, but still ended up reaching 6 reps once they were into place. I feel like I waste so much energy just trying to get set up.

Knees kept buckling inward on the hack squat, tempted to start using the hip abductor machine in an attempt to prevent this.

Anyone else care to share?

Mine was mediocre. Missed too many reps.

I aim for 3x5 on squat and OHP and 5x3 on power cleans.

Hit 14 total reps on a 240 lb high bar.
Hit 12 total reps on a 120 lb OHP.
Got my power clean back up to 140 lbs after lowering it to 115 to work on technique.

My squat and OHP concern me, I'm probably going to try the weights again on Friday. I barely failed the last rep of my third squat set. OHP is OHP, so it does what it does... which is flounder.

Weighed myself and I'm 150 now.

I biked 36 miles today with an average pace of 15.8 mph. I need to get faster.

I need to start doing cardio and/or cut back on sodium, my blood pressure is starting to get high.

My workout yesterday wasn't too bad after not working out for three days. I run three miles a day about 4-5 times a week (sometimes 6 miles if I feel like it that day) and have been doing that since the beginning of the year.

I haven't been able to improve my time much at all since I don't have the "runner" gene, but I have lost 25 pounds and 4-5 inches off my waist though which I'm proud of.

And I need to start lifting now that my fat is gone, haha. I don't have a gym membership but I do have dumbbells and a small bench press at my house. What do you guys suggest as a good routine since I don't have access to all the fancy machines.

Today was disappointing, I feel like I lost a months worth of progress during the week I took off. Guess that's what I get for binge drinking all week and eating about half the protein I normally do.

Deadlifts took a huge hit, was at 315x15 but only able to get 9 reps at that weight today. My grip failed pretty early, the bar was on my fingertips for half the reps.
