recommendations for an MP3/phone sleeve?

so, im starting to be driven slowly crazy by the swill they refer to as "music" pumped over my gym's PA,

i need an armband to hold my phone (nexus 4), and/or my MP3 player (its a zune HD.. shaddup) i know there are some good universal sleeves out there, but its really hard to find any decent reviews. ive seen some good things said about "armpocket" but its $35 freaking dollars, and everywhere that has them only stocks meduims.. the only way to get a large (arm is 14" above the bicep, 15" across and the plan is NOT to get smaller arms), is to order directly from them...

so.. does anyone have any other experience with any form of armbands? i need something thats capacitive touch compatible, and is a universal syle, the MP3 player will be primary, but the ability to carry my phone is not un-appealing. also i dont need it to have room for keys, snacks.. wallets. or anything like that, as long as its got a way to shorten my headphone cord, im good

I have purchased and received arm bands and never used them. Didn't find them to be practical, more of a hindrance.

I myself am partial to ear canal phones. Not a fan of those gaudy beats headphones.

I've been using these wireless ear canal phones for years. I've broken so many other wireless brands but these haven't failed me yet. I just leave the mp3 player, water bottle, and keys on the ground near my general workout area and work away. It's my favorite pair of running headphones. One of these days I'm going to break down and buy a pair of whites just because.

Zune HD wow. I bought a zune back when the product was still relevant. The darn thing kept malfunctioning. I returned it twice and received less than perfect replacements. No thanks. I'll just keep using the overrated apple touch.

my zune HD has never given me grief, it plays the music i feed it, it has a nice battery, hell it can even sync wirelessly, was yours one of the older zunes, or an HD?.. the problem with those LG's is i would still need to have my phone physically on my person. i would rather lock up my phone, and have my MP3 player attached to me, via some earbuds, and i hate having crap in my pockets.. hence where the armband comes into play

and i too prefer the in the ear canal style ones, i will probably use my zaggbuds for gym stuff because they are secure, and the fit in a manner where even IF they fall out, they dont fall off, and the waterproof thing is nice as well

I believe it was an ordinary Zune. I don't think the HD came out yet. It's not worth recollecting.

I don't use the LG Hbs for my phone. I prefer my music in my mp3 player and separate from my phone. They sync via bluetooth. Range is pretty good. I don't like using wired earbuds. Gets in the way when I'm bowling or practicing my golf game. I've broken enough pairs of V-modas to know wired earbuds simply do not last.

I suggest getting some skulls - perhaps a nekkid lady or two.

Wait... what kind of sleeve were you talking about?

Go to your TJ Maxx or Ross. Those 'discount' stores usually have cheap armband accessories.

That said, I can't stand working out with armbands. They feel way too restrictive.

I highly recommend the armpocket.
As a super avid runner, I've gone through three "Ironman" yurbud armband sleeves and the armpocket is still in super shape. Uber comfy, stores all your stuff without being overly bulky, and they have discounts directly every now and then.
