07 Forester XT Sport.2.5 turbo STI motor in a grocery getter,230 hp with 5spd.
My friends call it the "Lezbaru", if your familiar with Santa Cruz you'll know why.
Never thought Id own a Suby untill i drove this, really a muscle car guy but at 5.8 seconds 0-60 with 25MPG I couldnt pass this up.
Dealer I bought it from didnt realize it was a special model, got it for 3gs less than bluebook

A guy that I used to play disc golf with, an older gent in his 60's, owns a forester and a z28 camaro. The forester keeps up just fine, if not better than the camaro. When it comes time to replace my car it's going to be a subaru or a jeep. I'll decide when the time comes.

My favorite car I've owned, deffinately get a Turbo model
Ive had a 68&74 400ci Firebirds,97 modded Integra,68&79 V8 F100s,Toyota PU
Reliable ,handles great, hold enough gear for 3 'ballers.Roads where I live are windy and beat up so its perfect
Had a chance to race with a Nissan GT-R on CA Hwy 9,managed to keep him in my sights mostly because Im insane

I don't have any lookers.

My daily is a 98 Windstar everyone calls it soccermom.

My fun car is a 91 240sx, though I haven't driven for fun in a long while. No, I don't drift.

My old daily is a 88 Sentra. I'm still debating to fix it or toss it.

Nice FXT!

...And you don't have to be in Santa Cruz to understand the "Lesbaru" joke; just as effective up here in New England

Not sure if its still true for the '07s, but in the '04s you could swap in the STi intercooler, turbo, exhaust, and suspension and have a instant Forester STi with 300hp - all just bolt ins with no real modification needed thanks to the fact that the chassis is quite identical (I think the forester has a minor body lift IIRC and that's it). I know all of it can still be done, but don't know to what extent it would be bolt-in.

In the name of full disclosure, its not mine

And honestly, what self-respecting Thing owner wouldn't have custom, hard wood "duck boards" and a Third Reich grenade shifter? Don't forget the flyers goggles...

The stock 1600cc engine was replaced with a big ol' 2010cc stroker. Dual carbs, electronic ignition, electric fuel pump, big cam, etc, etc.

I thought turning an old .30 cal ammo can into a crank case breather box would be a real hoot. So I did it...
