Yup. Just got back from my little excursion. I really did like the car. A lot. Just felt right. They said they'd hold it for me to tomorrow, and I said I'd be back to sign the dotted line. I'm getting the special pearl white that Toyota has. It's called "Whiteout" on the FR-S. BEAUTIFUL color on that car.

The only hidden fee I really found was an "acquisition fee." It's $199, and is not as bad as other people have reported at other dealerships. I figure they think if it's low enough, the customer won't complain about the add-on. That may just work with me...

The fleet manager was up front about all the costs. Pure Pricing (that "no haggle" policy Scion has) really seems to have done its job well enough, though there was no room for haggling on my end either. The sticker price was $25k, and if you don't like it, sod off...

Pics tomorrow.

I don't feel that it is too much of a chic car, but because Toyota hold off for so long after the Celica that too many people are buying the FRS

You're the first person I've ever heard say that.

It's also not of Supra heritage. It's a unique design (though maybe aesthetically a bit generic), codesigned by Subaru.

It's heritage is the 1986 Toyota Corolla/Levin (Sprinter Trueno) Also Known As the AE86.
I really lime the car, I've seen a couple of them at the university and where I live and it always catches the eye.

Look at it this way: you can buy a Carter Duck with the money you'll save. Or three of them.

Don't equate your expired current vehicle with all used vehicles.

I've said my peace.

All true - I just bought a 3 yr old car for 30% off the current year retail.

Depends on the availability of the model - I ended buying my Odyssey from a dealer simply as they were the only ones with the supply and quality I wanted

Because its a small 2 door that drives well?

That's the first time I've heard that comment as well, which is surprising given the crowd of enthusiasts that I end up hanging around with. The lines aren't very feminine at all, compared to the rest of the bunch (Miata *cough*). And most (if not all...) owners I've seen so far have been men; I've probably viewed at least 75-100 of them so far this year.

But hey, if you think its feminine, then you think its feminine! Who am I to change opinions
