I just hate the nauseating noise that uncorked rotaries make . . . too many times stuck in the pits at Atco or Englishtown or MIR with some ridiculous turbo rotary starlet parked next to me with someone cranking it to 20bazillion rpm constantly

though watching say spec7 races on a road course - well that is pure needs a yakkety sax soundtrack playing fun.

Once i have enough money I'm going to build a crown vic sleeper. Supercharger, fully built engine, 5 speed, good brakes, and a killer exhaust.

Buddy of mine has a pretty good sleeper. It's a show truck, so it's really nice...but surprises a lot of people.

2007 GMC 2500 HD
10 inch lift
40 inch tires

Now is where the fun starts

Twin turbos running 63 pounds
Upgraded fuel system
Built tranny and diffs
6 inch straight pipe to dual 8 inch stacks. No mufflers, cats, nothing.

Dynod on a mustang dyno at 780 HP and 1340 TQ, so far his fastest time at the strip was low 11s, spinning 4wd the whole way down the track.

You will need to custom mount a clutch setup. I don't think they ever made a stick Vic unlesst they did in the 80's or earlier. Would be a neat car though.

They do that so they can overheat before reaching staging. God forbid they actually get to stage and end up spilling oil all down the track.

Nope, but T-5s and clones work well.

Definitely recommend a later car to do it on.... the 04's and up have a way better suspension than the older cars.

On the downside, you're still driving a Crown Vic.

The Rotary hate is making me sad. I've got a gen1 RX7, and I love rotary engines.

My 1st car was a 66 Bug that had oxidized tennis ball green paint, the big goofy bumpers with the bars on them, and front end higher than the back. I ditched the stock 50hp 1300 and built a 1914cc engine with cam, big heads, and dual Dell'orto carbs, and it was damn quick. Left the outside stock with exception of the exhaust header sticking out the back and a decklid offset for cooling. Surprised lots of V8s.

I now have a 1980 Honda CB900, putting out a stock 95hp. Supposedly good for 11.5 1/4 mile. Big goofy hardbags and tall sissy bar. Doesn't look like much, but sure pisses off the Corvette/BMW douches when they take exception to me (legally) pulling up between lanes next to them at stoplights and leaving them in my dust when the light turns green.

I love the Vics with a passion. And i was looking at an 06-07 retired cruiser. Although i may just supercharge a mercury marauder if i find a good deal on one
