You see that stuff under the tires on my project? Its called snow and it only comes for 4-6 months a year in some regions when it is very cold and it is treacherous to ride motorbikes on. I have seen it done but it is just not very common. Riding season is when that stuff is gone, in certain regions.

Finally in the 50's semi dry roads so I got mine off the jack today. Started easy, warmed up took it down the road two miles, ran my air compressor while I was gone. Came back just as the tank was full, checked tires and came inside for my leather jacket, only 30% chance of rain. Looked at weather map showed green well south of me in Syracuse, pretty promising.
I hadn't even got my jacket out when the wife got home and said " I closed the garage doors, cause it just started to rain"
You would think after the winter we had, Mother Nature would let us ride in April...

I think in NY if winter is looking like its going away in April we should be happy. I was also bummed out about the 60 and sunny day we were supposed to get today and it was like 42 and rainy. I slept most of the morning before work, barely motivated myself enough to do my workout. I did forget to eat tho....

ah my current ratchop project..one worn out dirt bike, some parts from the garage and a trip to the hardware store. this pic is before it was complete and still being built, she is done now. I need to get a current pic

My Semi restored vintage trials bike Yamaha TY175...it is even street plated here in California. this one actually sees a bit of trail use.

But my little Honda TLR 200 probably sees the most trail action

Made it to the shed today. Here she sits just begging to be worked on. I had to sweet talk her and let her know it would only be a few more days...

And a little order photo from Daytona Bike Week last year:

What the heck here is one of the 83 Ironhead sportster as well, but she's going under the knife for everything since the frame is rusted through on the bottom (ignore the sissy bar it was just a mock up photo):
