Band of Brothers all day on Spike TV today

Just saying... One of those shows I tend to watch when it's on TV even though I have the DVD's.

I should watch BoB again, not doing anything else today...

EDIT: Wait, no I shouldn't, because all it's going to do is get me spun up for D-Day and get really pissed off that it's still 6 months away.

Read the "Brothers in Battle" a few months ago. It was written by Bill Gaurnere and Babe Heffron.

Its a nice companion to the Stephen Ambrose book, which is mostly based on Winters memoirs, which tends to be officer-focused. So the Gaurnere book goes more in to daily grunt details, and differs with Ambrose on many points. (like the Horse/cart scene).

Malarky wrote a pretty good book too. It loosely served as the bases for the Saving Private Ryan movie, as he mentions the real story.

I point out the books because, like everyone above, I've seen these movies about 100 times. They never get boring. But the books have so much more, as you would expect.

If any Canadians want the DVDs I noticed Wal-Mart has the metal tin set on a regular price of 25$.

Probably because the Blu-Ray version is out now. Which I need to put on my christmas list.
