Google turned up some US sources for the Bunnahabhain scotch. I might try it out.

The above link I posted offers delivery of Bunnahabhain to the US - I just sent off for bottles of the 12 year and the 18 year. I'm sure you Canadians can get it from them, too.

they won't ship here...lol... I just checked... I will arrange to have some sent to the USA and can pick it up at Castle... Lrrpie?

I had the 18 year, man... it was something... Hope you enjoy! Otherwise I suppose my reputation may suffer!

Those are whisky rocks. They don't leach water into the mix as they cool down, and they stay cold longer than ice cubes supposedly. My brother has a set in his freezer.

BTW, Mar. I can pick up Bunnahabhain on the shelf here in VA. I'd be happy to broker a bottle for you and UPS it up to you. LMK.

All of you peaty loving folks should do yourself a favor and check out Ardbeg. It comes in a tall black bottle, and if I were stranded on a desert island and could only have one scotch forevermore it would be that one. Less salty than Laphroaig, with a lighter more refined smokiness. I'd bathe in the stuff if I could afford it.

but anyone who's spent time drinking scotch in Scotland knows - you want some water in your scotch - it "opens up" the whiskey!

my preference is room temp with a tiny splash of water.

try it next time - give it a good sniff straight, then add a splash of good water (if you live somewhere with stinky water - buy some distilled for this) and re-smell. there will be stuff you didn't find before.
