You're pretty lucky, Yokohma and Tokyo are both a short hop away. If you want to go south or west towards Naogya, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, etc. it's not that far off either.

Yokohama has a nice bayside park area for a day of strolling, and the Chinatown there is one of Japan's largest and is a nice way to spend some time. If you're into ramen, the Ramen Musem is a short walk from the main trainstation in Yokohama.
Great thanks for the info. I have two objectives this weekend. Play paintball or find the Godzilla statue. Must see Godzilla lol. Hopefully do both.
Thanks,

Man I climed the tower at Bunker hill and almost died lol. I don't think Mount Fuji and my Knees will get along. However it's still a thought. I'm in Yoksuka.

I was going to suggest some Udon noodles, but I got to agree with Shiba-kun, the Ramen there is hard to beat.

No seafood eh? Then save the money and go for some kobe beef, IMHO the kobe steak is worth the hype. The pufferfish/fugu sashimi was nifty, but not all that.

The season for climing Fuji-san is July-August. Right now it should be snow covered. Although Kawaguchiko and the rest of the 5 Lakes area is still a great resort area. Especially for a weekend getaway type trip.

If you get a chance and want to try a decent fastfood burger... give Mos Burger a try. Like stated, it's pseudo fastfood/diner type grub, but at least you can say you ate an actual japanese burger (compared to KFC, McD, etc.) Jonathan's and other diner's like that are good food at a cheap price too.

You're gonna learn to love: AM-PM, Famima, 7-11, etc.

I was slated to go to Ishikari for Grade 12, but alas I came up short on my funding.

I am unsure what a shaved head and tattoos signifies.

I found AM-PM. They have Dr. Pepper,so I'm good to go. Yes a Kobie Steak is my Farwell dinner here. I saw some real big breaded ship at a little stand last night. I might just give that a try today for lunch or dinner.

There is a Jello store across at the mall. They also serve crapes. I'll give them a try also mmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm learning more in the Hotel than I thought. I'm acuiring a tast for non sweet tea. It's very stong, but I feel good after I drink it. The hotel clerk taught me what's hot and cold in the machines.

I might give milk tea a shot today. I just got thru eating breakfast. It's free so why not. Basic American. Eggs, bacon, hash browns ,rice, fruit, fish, ham, susage etc. I like rice

I have to walk about a mile everyday to work. No biggy something I need to do. I walk a few extra blocks out of my way to meet my friend,so I get a little longer walk than I want, but who cares.

I have a candle burning in my room. Although I still smoke,I can't stand the smell of Smoke in a room.

All for now.

Yeah Dr. Pepper is not so easy to find. Ditto for Diet Coke. It seems like Coke Zero is more popular in Japan then it is here.

Don't be afraid to try some of the other sodas and drinks. CC Lemon is carbonated, but Qoo and Natchan are not.

Otherwise there's always the... BX! Cheaper cigs there too I'd guess.

BTW: Look for designated non-smoking areas. As you're walking... you'll soon learn that jaywalking is frowned upon, and walk on the left in starcases, aisles, etc. kinda the opposite of the US.

Yea found out about the stairs. I guess the looks gave it away, also the rails are on the left lol. I only smoke in authorized area. Cross walks only,Job doesn't cover you if you don't use them and get hit lol.

No lemon or lime for me, allergic to it. The new Pepsie Now is very popular here. I also discovered the 100 yen store,so I'm golden.
