As a non-cable subscriber (and I won't be until someone comes out with an A La Carte plan, I just can't justify paying for channels I don't watch), still deciding if I should start picking up this season on Amazon Instant Video, or if I should wait a year for it to hit Netflix. There is something satisfying about watching them for the first time in a huge marathon that almost makes the big delay worth it.

I'll check in after a few episodes (got to keep the spoilers down to a minimum) and see how the series is going.

Exactly why I tuned in.
I liked the pace... nice ease into the first show, not too slow and enough build up to make you wonder wtf is going on..

Cant wait to see next weeks episode..

when beth's squeeze sat down next to daryl he waved that shotgun everywhere and finally rested it on his knees pointing AT daryl. glad that idiot died and isn't endangering anyone else anymore.

new alcoholic black dude has awesome trigger discipline.

it seems there's an epidemic. swine flu? that's an interesting twist, to have an additional outbreak on top of zombies. i don't think anyone's done it before. it would be interesting to see what they can come up with to handle it, might have real life implications and save lives.

i'm glad they wrote that karin girl to be less annoying than last season.

I was thinking some sort of plague. He went REALLY quickly with brusing on his skin near his mouth, and we did see a rat . He also mentioned just having venison Daryl brought in. I'd imagine those people MUST be dealing with fleas.

Survive outbreak of zombie apocalypse, get killed by a flea.

There is a definite undercurrent from that episode. It will be interesting to see where they go from here. I have the feeling that the story is going to get interesting and wild. Rick is playing in the deep end with no floaties and even Detective Darryl is getting tired of losing people. And "Story Time" with the kids was awesome!

I think it's in the water. They focused on the water in the barrel and the shower head when the Harry Potter looking dude went into the shower and hurled and died.

They also focused on Rick washing his face in a rain barrel in the beginning.

And, the pig.

Perhaps it's now some sort of virus.

Wasn't Karen the Governor's cock-holster before Andrea?

Definitely a pandemic/ swine flu/ unsanitary/ Middle Ages style infection. Dead pig, dead Harry potter shower kid was bleeding from his eyes as well. They focused on a zombie outside the fence with bleeding eyes at the opening and the same zombie at the closing segment.

I forgot about that! So here is a scenario. We'll see if they find a headless rat in the water supply. That was the zed that bit the rat I believe.

Who knows what might have survived the CDC inferno in Atlanta from season 1. Hantavirus? Maybe some other military gremlin of infection.
