Either way they have changed it for a purpose, and I maintain it is to suit the different target audience.

They have changed it for multiple reasons; the audience, viewership, ratings, and budget. There are plenty of articles with interviews of the top guys stating all of the above.

I was watching the town scene again when the walkers were around the cars. Those lawns looked clean & mowed recently. Walkers mow lawns now?

Anyone have a good estimate, as of the last episode, of how much time has elapsed since the world went to hell in the show? I figure that it must have taken a month or maybe more for Carl to recover from his gunshot wound.

Doesn't anyone have a freakin' shortwave radio??? I mean there's nothing from anywhere around the globe???? It surpasses credulity that there wouldn't be some shortwave broadcast from at least some corner of the globe.

Sure, given the significantly reduced atmospheric noise due to a mostly dead power grid and nonexistant telecommunications, they should get fantastic reception, especially with bounce.

Maybe they'll find out some country in Asia is just fine, but they just can't get there lol.

If I'm not mistaken, winters in the area of Atlanta really don't qualify as winter. They had like 3 inches of snow last year and it shut the whole city down because they only have maybe 10 plows for the whole county.

I know we can't apply logic to these movies/shows, but I have a hard time believing with all the ships at sea, and isolated places in the world a large number of people wouldn't survive.
Heck, I'm in northern saskatchewan, it's 100k dirt road south to the nearest other small community. I'd like to think I as well as many others could survive it.

BUT I'm enjoying the show, because I know that's not the point of it, it's about the people and them surviving together. And of course they can't follow the comic, first of all how could anyone enjoy knowing EXACTLY what comes next?
