As I was watching I could see places in the city I used to walk my dog and my loft building in the background. They used the roof of my building for filming and had tons of signs up warning of gun shots, explosions. I still have no idea how they got those parts of the city to look like that. They must set that stuff up and take it down in no time.

So far I could see becoming a regular. More gore than I would have thought too

*spoiler?*

Did anyone else notice that the tank at the end was a British Cheiftain? Probably a stand-in to progress the plot with the hatch. (Why not use an M60?)

I for one loved it, as someone who hasn't read the comics I'm excited to see where they go with the father and son

So far so good.

Pleasantly surprised at the effects budget.

Also, the reality of the firearms. Enclosed space+.357=ouchie.

Didn't count any bottomless magazines or anything yet. In fact, the only inaccuracy I noticed so far is the guy sweeping off the safety (all black, in shadow) on his Glock.

That was very good. Just wish I could watch it in HD, or at least a good stream. DirecTV only has AMC in standard definition.

Anyone catch "Dead Set" this weekend on IFC? That was also good, and I had never heard of it.

I enjoyed it. Pace seemed a bit slow but I think that's because I'm used to Zombie flicks where everything has to be packed into a 2 hour time frame. It was at least good enough that I'm willing to give it a few more episodes to see how it goes, I don't have much to watch on Sunday nights anyway.
