well, lets put it this way. your parents (and everyone here) dont have to worry about you going too fast. it still puts out 140hp, which is plenty for just driving.

Good and bad at the same time. Good because since it's down on power you might get better fuel economy and insurance rates. Bad because since it's down on power it's slow and you might need to stomp on it just to get going, which will negate the fuel efficiency savings. DSMs have horrible insurance rates in general, not too sure if the engine will make any difference at all.

mine has 140. the thing with SOHC is is you just have to put a little more pressure on it before it really starts to accelerate. and if you DO stomp it, it feels like you're being jerked from a stop, it doesnt accelerate all that smoothly, it takes about half a second to kick in.
