Wouldn't be terrible having a 4cyl, but a V6 is what I'd like. Do you know what it would take to get that eclipse up and running?

EDIT: Also, what would you guys think about me emailing this guy and asking for pictures, and if everything looks ok, offering like, $1800-ish?

PERFECT 97 DEL SOL FOR TRADE
I owned a del Sol for several years. Only went to the SRT4 because we needed a third seat. Great car, very good gas mileage, dual airbags, rear window rolls down . Not really the typical Honda to mod, more of a fun in the sun type, but they share the Civic chassis and so any option under the hood of the same year Civics will work for them too.

solsociety.com

I don't go there anymore, but there is a ton of info. It was very much an MCB environment when I was active, as hondatech reminded me a lot of PBN.

Awesome. As far as price wise, what do you think is a good offer?

I think the CRX is much more practical than the Del Sol. Sure they lack air bags, but they boast far more storage space. Very similar cars, otherwise.

I like the CRX. Quite alot actually. I'll probably own one of those. But it can't be my first car.

Don't know about what a fair price is.

In HS before I discovered the del Sol, my feasible dream car was an '89 CRX SI.

I want your opinions about them. If you think I need to keep looking, that's what I'll do.

Civic
......cheap.....

Accord
1995 Honda Accord Coupe 5 Speed
I would suggest a Hyundai Elantra or Accent. They're less expensive than Hondas and Toyotas and have excellent reliability.

I owned a '92 Toyota Tercel until about 2006 before buying a 2002 Elantra GT. Both were great cars BTW but when it was time to retire the Tercel, I wanted something *slightly* more comfortable. The Elantra was perfect. The Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic were way overpriced compared to what the Elantra offered.

Can you get one of those two in my price range?

So long as you stay on this side of 2001. The wife's uncle had an 00 or 01 Elantra that he put a ton of miles on but when it died, it went hard and fast. Their build quality has been constantly increasing AFAIK and don't carry the name premium that Honda or Toyota have.
