Finally got a Wacom tablet!

I've been dabbling in digital art for a while now (as some may have seen in my Phantom thread), but everything I've done has been mouse drawn. For me, that was a pain and a frustration. I've been wanting a WACOM tablet for a very long time now, but for some silly reason, never dropped the fairly low change on one. I got tired of that, so I just up and got one. I went to Best Buy and got me a Bamboo Pen. It's a very basic tablet, but I love it! Why didn't I do this sooner!?

It also came with Corel Painter, which is actually kinda cool. I spent about an hour or two messing around and came up with this:

Up next: Color!

Anyway, just thought I'd share my awesome acquisition.

I´ve got Bamboo Fun, A6 Wide. I tried a bunch of more expensive/bigger tablets and nothing ever seemed natural, then I found the smallest size.

Don´t know how I managed work for 8yrs without it. I felt so stupid afterwards thinking the endless hours editing photos and renderings with a mouse.

They have dozens of Cintiqs where I work. Now THAT is a tablet.

my first tablet was a $30 macalley icecad.

then i went back to drawing on paper and just photoing and resizing them in photoshop after i got sick of having to plug/unplug stuff every time i leave (i have laptop)

Wacom has wireless board too.
When they come up with wireless A6 I´ll switch to that.

Yup. Even came with an illustrating program (Corel Painter). Not bad for $70.
