I just put a system in my car a couple months ago, mostly because the stock stuff was cutting out and making weird noises. It's nothing special, just a bunch of cheap stuff from amazon, but it sounds good. Kenwood deck and amp, alpine rear speakers, infinity front speakers and 10" sub. I had to rewire all the speakers to the deck, damn bmw common ground and factory amp. Plus since it's a convertible I had to cut through 2 layers of sheet metal between the back seat and trunk and run the port from the sub box through the back seat to get good bass in the car. I'll take some pics when I get the chance.

I got the bug many years ago, and have never been able to kick it. Every time I get a new car, I say to myself, "Not this time." Next thing I know, the spare tire is gone to make room for the amps, and half my trunkspace is gone for subs. Pics are a little old, but little has changed. And the TVs are for the kids, not for blingin. Dual-Zone audio FTW. ![]() ![]() |

I haven't had a system in quite a while, used to have a 12" Kicker CompVR and a 1000 watt mono block Crunch amp in my Beretta that I'm pretty sure caused me some hearing loss. I just put some new Kicker 4x10's in the dash of my Fiero this last year, and I have to pick up a new deck and put some new headrest 3.5's in when I reupholster the seats. I've been toying with the idea of molding a 10" sub box into my spare center console for it as well. I just don't know how well having a big magnet that close to the ECU will effect it. Haven't really thought about putting one in my Grand Am GT yet, the sound of header-back exhaust and a very raucous motor is more enjoyable to me than massive bass.

I'm a bit of a junkie. Work truck has a Pioneer double din touchscreen, Infinity Kappa 6.5" seperates in the doors, Kappa 4"x6" rears and 2 DVQ 12's in the center console, powered by Fosgate Power 800. 4runner( paintballin' truck) has the same Pioneer screen, Infinity reference 6x9's in the back and Infinity References in front dash ( can't remember the size). It has a Fosgate Power 500 running a Soundstream Tarantula 15" in the back. Also has a 2000 watt inverter hard wired in.(gotta have my Hot Pockets or Cup o soups) My big toy is my 88 Lincoln town car. Blacked out on 100 spoke 17" wires. Premier double din touch screen in dash. Infinity Reference 6.5 s in doors and 6x9s in back deck powered by a Fosgate 400.4. The noise comes from 4 Diamond audio d3 12"s powered by a Fosgate 2000.1. It's my baby, only gets driven once or twice a month. I'll post some pics if I get time this weekend. |

In a jeep you need to be thrifty with your space. However, I got a Pioneer head unit, 4 5'' Memphis Audio components, and a 10'' kicker L5 with 300 watt Kicker amp in a 2009 Jeep Wrangler 2dr. In my Ford Focus I have a Pionner head unit, 4 5x7 pioneer components and a 10'' JL W6v2 |
