I think this is the first time I 100% agree with drg. I feel faint.

I carry one of these in my boot: Colt® Guardian Large Tanto

And one of these in my pocket: Amazon.com: Kershaw Storm Storm II Serrated Md: 1475ST: Sports & Outdoors

That Kershaw is the best knife I've EVER carried.

EDIT: To the OP, I have that Smith & Wesson boot knife, aswell. I just like the Colt better.

I carry which ever folding knife I grab in the morning. For my medical bag I have a Blackhawk Razorback Trocar that I rather like.

I usually have a small chris reeve sebenza on me. Though I'm getting a large asap as I like it a little better.

Literally the best folding knife I've ever had. Perfection at it's finest.

I also carry a benchmade 42 balisong. It's illegal in my state to EDC so I don't really carry it out but it's good for stuff in the house. It's also fun to flip while watching tv or whatnot.

Lately I have been carrying a kershaw leek. Handy little knife. Tip is weak, but it's a great slicer.

For outdoor stuff I love my Ratpack rat RC-3 or my Fallkniven F1. Excellent knives. My custom Puukko made in finland is also a damn good knife. Love the scandi grinds.

Nice Fallkniven ... It's kind of a travesty though how the F1 is more expensive than the A1
My big fixed is a Swamp Rat

I carry an Olfa. It's my primary tool at work. It's really cool cause the blades break and you can put new ones in. And it cuts stuff. I lose them all the time, but thankfully they are cheap......I'm serious too, it's usually in my pocket for 12 hours a day.

Second choice is a Klein cable stripping knife..... No where as good as the Ofla..

Just curious, (not saying that you all carry knives as self defense) do you guys hang around in a lot of shady areas or do something to really piss people off? Just curious why you need something for self defense? Honestly, if someone wanted to rod me I would much rather give them my wallet and lose $50 than lose my life trying to fight with someone. Not looking to ruffle any feathers or anything simply curious.

Self-defense is way down the list of reasons to carry a knife. And fighting is way down the list of ways to defend yourself ... and fighting with a knife is way down the list of fights you'd want to get into. But you never do know.
