Did a search dint find a thread about this so here it is.

Anybody else carry a knife/knives? If so what?

I carry a Smith & Wesson HRT Boot knife and a Havlon Piranta that uses replaceable sergical blades.

Are you talking about self defense carry or just everday knives? I'm thinking the former due to that boot knife, but have you ever heard the saying don't bring a knife to a gun fight??? No offense but...

Though I tend to have a box cutter on me. Mostly because I work in a warehouse and use one all the time, I feel kinda naked without one now.

Sig Sauer P229 or a Glock 26. I'd rather stop someone before they got within striking range, which with a knife is 21 feet.

The average person can cover 21 feet(not that long really) in the same amount of time a person with an obstructed holster can draw, aim, and fire their weapon. We did drills on this and a number of people were hit with the rubber knife during training.

Folks, you don't carry knives primarily as self defense. Of course they are serviceable for such in a pinch, and some jurisdictions wouldn't allow you to have a gun anyway, but please. No one will argue that the gun is the superior self-defense option, it's just not an option for some people and knives are far, far more versatile in everyday uses than guns.

Knife laws vary widely from state to state. Knives are actually very effective and common weapons used in crimes. It's not the attackers you know about that are the dangerous ones.
