Well, in Canada anyhow... I know it does in the USA, but until today, only COLA beverages could contain caffeine (in Canada). Yes. By law. health Canada today changed the rules! Look forward to trying a mountain dew with kick... http://www.montrealgazette.com/healt...955/story.html

I had heard that...I was in Montreal in '06, I think, for my college roommate's bachelor party. I specifically went looking for some of this CAnadian Dew while I was there. What I found DID have caffeine in the ingredients, but the label was pretty weird: It was labeled the same as over-the-counter drugs are labeled, with a specific "dosage" of caffeine rather than the usual 'recommended daily allowance' like most nutritional labels. I was surprised and pleased.

ooooh! You got the black market stuff!~ lol. That's the good stuff, the bootleg stuff... I had to resort to putting caffeine pills in my Dew!

the law stated that th beverage had to be "dark" in colour similar to the colour of Coffee. Some of the rules were bent befor hand as the beverages were marketed as "energy drinks" not "refreshments" it's all legal mobojumbo.
