Wife and I saw it yesterday, and I have to say it was the most intense movie I've seen in a long time, more so than Inception. There's no 'run to go pee' moments, so get it out of the way first. Not a complicated movie; a 1/2 mile long unmanned freight train with 2 locomotives, hazardous chemicals, and disconnected brakes is going down the track at 70mph towards a 15mph elevated curve surrounded by fuel storage tanks in a densely populated town. Denzel Washington and Chris Pine have to figure out how to stop it. Sounds silly, and there's a few unnecessary plot meanderings but it works. Got an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. Did I mention it also stars Rosario Dawson? ![]() 9/10.

I saw it too and also thought it was pretty good. The movie actually did seem to follow the actual true life events which it was based on. CSX 8888 incident - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Except for the movie took place in Pennsylvania, not Ohio, and the train never reached the speeds it did in the movie.

![]() Yeah. And if it hits this curve at this speed, how many people will it kill?

Also saw it the other night. Totally agree about how good it was. I really like Tony Scott's style. Good suspense with a simple plot line. I'd see it again.
