Keep the dog.

Perhaps you can get a doctor's note stating that the dog keeps her anxiety/blood pressure/whatever under control? Would it change the school's mind?

We got doctor's notes upon doctor's notes saying it helps with her anxiety. They, however, denied us and our appeals saying that they only let dogs in if the disability is something that is constant, like being blind, and where you would have to have the dog with you 24/7, which she doesnt.

It's a year. You'll see the dog again soon enough, and you obviously need the money. Suck it up and deal.

Move to the cheaper place AND keep the dog. Let them worry about kicking you out etc. By the time they figure it out, you'll be done.

If it's a small, quiet dog you could always try and sneak it in.

I know for a fact a couple of the apartments on campus have "illegal" dogs, and not just small ones at that. It's kind of hard to hide a lab that barks when you're pounding around the other half of a duplex. Depending on how nice you are to the maintenance folks, it is very possible to get away with not being busted too.

Personally, I don't know if I could leave a dog or not. If it came down to not being able to afford to properly care for myself and said dog, than only if the dog could go live with family and I could get it back ASAP.

Bribes work. People love to be bribed. A little bribe goes a LONG way. I get so many perks from throwing $20 bills around.

... wait, they're called 'gifts'.

Poke the lady's eyes out so you bring the dog to the cheaper place as a seeing eye dog.

keep the dog

sneaking the dog into the apt. (and potentially bribing neighbors) may sound like a good plan... until you get caught.
it only takes one jerk to ruin you.
