Nice. I prefer the CJ7 over the others but I would actually really like a CJ8 these days for the extra space.

My dad and I had a project Jeep until times got bad for everyone. Was a 78 CJ7 with the AMC 304. Picked it up for a song ($500) from a guy that was selling it b/c he pissed off a chick.

She had smashed the windshield, slashed up his seats and tires, and poured sugar in the tank. We found the tran locked up later on but the motor ran like a champ. They are fun projects.

I want another Jeep.

I am on my 5th Jeep and I love them. Currently have a 55 Willy's with a 289 in it and a 2000 TJ with a 4" superlift and full Warn rock sliding kit.

I have a Jeep ('00 TJ), and I love it, it's an awesome vehicle.

Old CJs (CJ-7?) with Chevy V8 swaps are very common, and pretty easy to do (As far as engine swaps go).

If you've never driven one before, be prepared for the ride quality (Or complete lack thereof). CJs have leaf springs in all corners, and they ride like they're on wooden blocks. But they're also very easy to lift because of it, and the whole thing's built like a Lego set. (In a good way)

4K will get you a lot of Jeep, just shop around and don't jump on the first deal you come across. Jeeps hold their value pretty well in comparison to other cars so they tend to go for a premium.

Yep. I would like to pick up one of the new JKs but that won't happen until they wake up and give us the diesel option.

If I end up buying before that happens I'll pick up a nice TJ.
