Sorry. My jaw hit the keyboard...

You are a man after my own heart. I couldn't do that to my precious Bonnie lass, but I've always dreamed of finding a garaged or a basket-case kick-start Bonnie to chop or bob. I don't think I could ever own another v-twin after having owned a parallel.
Thanks man!! It's been a long 7yrs with lots of problems to go along with it I cant wait to ride it!!

Any recommendations on helmets? When I used to ride it was a Thor I wore. Different situation and its been a while lol. Full face, not sure on much else though. Something comfy with decent airflow (stupid florida).

I have a Scorpion EXO-400 and a EXO 1000. Great helmets but don't quite fit my long oval head, had to modify them a bit. The 1000 has a couple nice features like the drop down sunscreen and inflatable cheek pads. They are nice but not really worth the price or weight.
If I hadn't got it for a steal I would have gotten another 400 or maybe a 700.

I just recently picked up a half helmet, a HJC IS-2 so far I really like it.

just remember, dont buy a $10 helmet, unless you have a $10 head. i am partial to arai corsair and shoei x series. but icon and hjc have come a long way. the new bell helmets are also very good.

I've always had a problem with this saying..What happens if I have a 1million dollar head?? way I see it they are all dot approved, all your paying for is features and a name.

Not exactly. If you had said DOT/SNELL you'd be closer.

This is a DOT approved helmet:

They are built to satisfy the minimum standard for safety where as a Shoei/Arai/AGV, ect are built to exceed it.

I'll stick with my Arai, thanks.
